About the Conference
The 2nd International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management bears the theme “Advancing Partnership in Climate Action for Sustainable Development in the ASEAN Region”.
Generally, this internationalization effort acquaints local planners and technically minded individuals on the current developments, opportunities, and challenges on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management integration in the periphery of local development planning, academic research consortium, and other scientific ventures.

Goals
“To promote advanced technological solutions and approaches to climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management for sustainable development in the ASEAN region.”
Objectives
Present results of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management studies featuring affected communities, agriculture/fisheries, and watersheds from various countries particularly Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam and the corresponding implications for policy and program planning;
Uphold collaboration among local government managers and planners as well as technical and academic groups to discuss challenges, opportunities, and gaps in integrating climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management into local development planning;
Identify local planning needs and research and development gaps in the implementation of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management programs; and
Conduct a meeting among the incorporators, trustees, and members of the International Organization on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management.
Expected Outputs
A collection of scientific and case study papers, and a synthesis of discussions and research and development gaps related to climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management integration in local development planning;
Proceedings which compile all paper presentations and syntheses of information exchanges, and embody the integration of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management in local development planning;
Strategic recommendations on the integration of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management in local governance; and
Identified R&D gaps for research exploration and further academic collaboration.
