Background and Rationale:
The 1st and 2nd International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management took place on October 22-26, 2018, in Cauayan City, Isabela, Philippines, and on May 29 - June 2, 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand, respectively, through the International Organization on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Inc. (IO-CCA-DRMM). The IO-CCA-DRRM, a global network and non-profit organization, was established to promote integration on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management, environmental awareness and mitigation. Their success on these events has turned this into a regular event.
The 3rd International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Management continues the initiative under the theme “ASEAN Climate Action: Collaborative Strategies for Sustainable Futures.” This effort aims to familiarize local planners and technically skilled individuals with the latest developments, opportunities, and challenges in climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management within local development planning, academic research, and scientific collaboration.
This international conference will serve as a platform for researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and development partners to discuss challenges and innovative solutions in water resource management, climate change adaptation, and disaster risk reduction.
